Girls'Day is a nationwide orientation day for girls to explore career and study options. It is supported by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
On Girls' Day, girls learn about professions or fields of study where women make up less than 40 percent of the student body, for example in IT, skilled trades, natural sciences, and technology. Or they meet female role models in leadership positions in business and politics.
Girls'Day occupations are occupations in which the proportion of female trainees or students is less than 40 percent.
