The construction project

As part of the Kö-Bogen Tunnel project in Düsseldorf, Hodapp GmbH & Co. KG installed a single-leaf fire protection swing gate specially adapted to the local conditions.
The gate serves to safely close a tunnel section in the event of an incident and, due to its high-quality design and robust safety technology, is an important component of the technical tunnel equipment.
After the positive experience with this gate, three more identical gates were installed.

Technical data:

Technical design:

The gate systems were manufactured with a clear shell dimension of 4.520 x 2.360 mm and 4510 x 2440 mm and meet the requirements of fire protection class EI2-90, ensuring a fire resistance of at least 90 minutes. Due to the tunnel environment, the entire system was constructed of high-quality V4A (1.4571 / 316L) stainless steel, guaranteeing long-term corrosion resistance under demanding environmental conditions.
