The construction project

As part of an extensive new construction project, Hodapp GmbH & Co. KG implemented a total of 24 folding gates with high standards of safety and design.

The custom-made vehicles were installed in both a car repair shop and the adjoining training center and are characterized by full glazing and modern drive technology.

Technical data:

  • Commissioning: 2024
  • 23 similar gate systems
  • Shell dimensions of workshop area: 4.600 × 4.825 mm
  • Construction costs: continuous glass facade
  • Shell dimensions of the training center: 4.700 × 6.000 mm
  • Safety contact edges, BEA Flatscan systems, laser scanners
  • Stainless steel thresholds: 7,5 ton load capacity
  • Electric center drive with board control

Technical design:

A total of 23 identical door systems with a shell size of 4.600 × 4.825 mm were designed and installed for the workshop area. The main architectural feature is the fully glazed door surfaces, which ensure a light-filled work area. The integrated, threshold-free wicket doors allow barrier-free pedestrian passage without opening the entire door, making them ideal for daily workshop operations.

Another highlight of the project is the large-format special door in the training center, which was integrated directly into a continuous glass facade. With a shell dimension of 4.700 × 6.000 mm and a fully glazed surface, it features an electric center drive with a circuit board control.
