The construction project

December 2021: After more than ten years of construction, the Karlsruhe tram tunnel opens with a length of 2.400 m. It stretches along Kaiserstrasse, with a southern branch from the market square to Augartenstrasse. The tunnel has seven modern and safe underground stops.

The tram tunnel is part of the Karlsruhe combined solution together with the Karoline-Luise tunnel, which will be completed in 2022. The goal: a modern transport infrastructure for the city
Karlsruhe.

Hodapp fire revolving doors:

TSN-1, TSN-2, TSN-11, TSN-12 “Schröder’s System”

Fire revolving doors prevent the risk of fire and smoke developing and spreading. The fire resistance of the doors corresponds to either the fire protection requirements T30 or T90. You can choose between single-leaf and double-leaf revolving doors.

The Hodapp fire protection revolving doors can also be combined with the following properties: smoke protection, sound insulation, airtightness, driving rain tightness, protection against wind loads and burglary protection. The product also has an excellent thermal transmittance coefficient.

  • Material: Galvanized and primed

  • Single-leaf (TSN-1, TSN-2) and double-leaf (TSN-11, TSN-12)

  • 3-sided thin fold

  • Fire protection classes T30 and T90 according to DIN 4102-5

  • Smoke protection according to DIN 18095

  • Burglar resistance RC-3 and RC-4

  • Door leaf thickness: 69 mm

  • Painted surface in RAL 7030 (“stone grey”) and RAL 9002 (“grey white”)
