Burglary protection RC certified

Security redefined.

Protection against burglary, and thus the threat to life and limb, has tended to increase in recent years. To effectively counteract this trend, we have developed our burglar-resistant doors, which, thanks to their special design, achieve resistance classes up to RC4 with a single main lock.

Our security portfolio is complemented by the new RC5-certified ventilation grille – a high-performance solution for security-sensitive applications in critical infrastructures, military facilities, or government agencies according to BSI standards.

Our products are manufactured using the latest technology and tested according to the European standard EN 1627
– for tested resistance and reliable protection at the highest level.

Burglar-resistant doors up to RC4

Our steel doors, tested according to EN 1627, achieve resistance class RC4 with a single main lock thanks to a special design – for effective protection against violent attacks with a resistance time of up to 10 minutes.

Multifunctional door design

Sound insulation, airtightness, impact rain tightness and wind load are combined in a robust system made of 1,5 mm thick sheet steel – ideal for technical and industrial applications.

Targeted protection of sensitive areas

Particularly suitable for vulnerable access points such as cellar and side entrances in private, commercial or government buildings.

RC5-certified ventilation grille

For the highest demands in the area of critical infrastructure – the new RC5 grille “TrafoLG” offers tested burglary protection with consistent air circulation and flexible system integration.

Product testing | Burglary protection

The burglary protection tests according to EN 1627 assess the resistance of doors to attempted break-ins. The aim is to ensure that the doors resist attempted break-ins and prevent or delay access to protected areas. The test variants include:

  • Manual break-in attempts: Use of physical force and simple tools such as screwdrivers and crowbars.
  • Burglary attempts with tools: Use of special tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and hammers through to the use of electrical tools.

The test bench simulates real burglary conditions with a steel frame construction and measuring devices to monitor the forces. The resistance classes (RC) range from RC1 to RC6, with RC1 being the lowest and RC6 the highest burglary protection. The higher the class, the more resistant the door is to burglary attempts.

Resistance classes at a glance

RC-2

The opportunistic burglar tries to gain access using simple tools (e.g. screwdriver, pliers, wedges). He tries to use the screwdriver and wedges to pry open the door. Exposed hinges are attacked with a small handsaw.
Resistance time: 3 minutes

RC-3

The burglar also has a crowbar, a second screwdriver and various hand tools (e.g. small hammer, pin driver, mechanical drill). He can exert more force with the crowbar. The drilling tool can be used to attack vulnerable locking devices.
Resistance time: 5 minutes

RC-4

The experienced burglar also uses a heavy hammer, an axe, a chisel and a cordless drill, giving him a wider range of attack options. He is determined to gain entry and is willing to take greater risks.
Resistance time: 10 minutes

RC-5

The experienced perpetrator also uses powerful power tools, such as drills, jigsaws, saber saws, and angle grinders. These tools allow them to specifically attack solid components, such as locks or fittings. They possess technical expertise, proceed systematically, and are willing to endure considerable effort and noise to gain access.
Resistance time: 15 minutes

The award "No Break" is a certificate or seal of approval issued by Association of the German Insurance Industry (GDV) It is used to label security products such as doors, windows or locks that are particularly burglar-resistant.
