Earthquake

Earthquake-resistant doors play a central role in the stability and safety of buildings in seismically active regions.

An outstanding example is Hodapp’s reference project:
Radiation protection doors for the Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power plant in Finland, which was highlighted in a KIT presentation at the 14th Nordic Steel Construction Conference. This presentation addressed the behavior of steel structures during earthquakes. Our doors are specially designed to withstand extreme conditions and offer the highest level of protection.

The correct design plays an important role here. The decisive factor is the response spectra specified by the client. These spectra vary depending on the installation height and influence the effects of an earthquake.
