Over the past decade, we have repeatedly been confronted with pressing challenges that threaten our world: climate change, natural disasters and resource scarcity have shown us how important it is to take responsibility and protect our environment.

A sustainably operating company is the result of economic, ecological and social aspects. The corporate strategy of Hodapp GmbH & Co. KG consistently pursues the path of responsible handling of our environment and its resources.

But sustainability means more than environmental protection - it is also about people. We firmly believe that people must be the key factor in implementing sustainable goals in order to integrate these principles into our everyday work.

Our commitment spans the three pillars of sustainability – economic, environmental and social – and is reflected in our efforts to achieve ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals.

Environment

Environmental policy is an integral part of our corporate principles and is a mandatory component of the daily work of every employee. Starting with top management, every employee is aware of their responsibility towards society, their colleagues and the environment.

Careful and economical use of raw materials and goods can be profitable, and not only from a monetary perspective.

Especially in times of scarcity of raw materials and increasing exploitation of nature, environmentally friendly action is increasingly becoming the focus of all parties involved in the market. Profit optimization and the minimization of environmental pollution go hand in hand here.

In the integrated management system, the areas of environmental management, occupational health and safety and quality management are placed on a common level, which as a whole offer maximum ecological and economic sustainability.

Apprenticeship

We are committed to promoting young talent from the region.

The total of nine apprenticeships, the dual study program in cooperation with the DHBW in Karlsruhe and the Studium PLUS through the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences offer a wide range of entry opportunities at Hodapp GmbH & Co. KG.

In order to support young people in choosing a career, a large number of training fairs in the region are visited and local schools are invited to visit companies.

Our goal is to inspire and encourage women to pursue a career in the skilled trades. True to this goal, we made our recruiting film "Jagdfieber".

Further Training

The wide range of training courses for our employees is continuously reviewed and adapted to the needs of our employees in order to strengthen their knowledge. Compliance at Hodapp GmbH & Co. KG includes the following topics: Values ​​program, principles of conduct, compliance with rules, compliance with legal regulations, inclusion of Global Compact, inclusion of CFSI (Counterfeit, Fraudulent, Suspect Item), inclusion of NSC (Nuclear Safety Culture). Compliance with legal obligations is an absolute prerequisite for serious and long-term successful business. This also applies to any type of obligation that a company has entered into beyond legal constraints. The prerequisite for this is the identification and fulfillment of all these obligations and a consistent assessment of compliance. A compliance assessment is carried out regularly approximately once a year in the form of a compliance audit.

All laws and regulations that are relevant to the company are kept in an internal legal register. It contains a comprehensive list of relevant laws from the areas of environment, energy, occupational health and safety law, etc. This ensures the necessary legal certainty and legal conformity.
