Since its founding in 1946, Hodapp has been committed to pioneering new developments and the constant optimization of existing systems for over 75 years.
3. generation

For three generations, Hodapp has stood for innovation and quality: Founded by Eugen Hodapp, continued by his son Werner Hodapp and currently under the management of Peter Hodapp.

With Tim Hodapp, who is already in the management team, the fourth generation is set to succeed Peter Hodapp in the future.

With a total of nine apprenticeships and two degree programs, Hodapp offers a diverse range of training options. This diversity enables us to promote talented young professionals in a variety of disciplines and offer them a solid foundation for their professional future.

Hodapp has an impressive production area of 20.000 m². This generous space enables us to implement efficient production processes and guarantee the high quality of our products.

Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and optimal use of space, we can implement both small and large projects flexibly and promptly.

Using CAD systems, they create complex 3D models that guarantee the highest precision and functionality.

We guarantee this in our steel and stainless steel production areas through our own, highly qualified specialist staff and modern production machines on an area of 20.000 m².

The short distances between production, development and project management prove their worth every day, not least due to the high individuality of each customer project.

Electrical planning

Our in-house electrical department, with a team of technicians, electricians and mechatronics engineers, implements the requirements for controlling your gates. Development, programming, control and switch cabinet construction all come from a single source.

With our specially developed Hodapp board controls, we create safe and user-friendly solutions for all common gates and doors. Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are available for special solutions.

We have developed a system specifically for conveyor system closures that can be flexibly adapted to all customer requirements.

Assembly

Our Hodapp installers know the challenges that come with installing special doors and gates made of steel and stainless steel. Every construction site is unique and requires precise planning in advance so that each element finds its place in the end - whether in a tunnel, a nuclear power plant, a prison or other demanding buildings.

For the complete assembly of doors and gates, including the electrical installation on site, we rely on our own specialist staff who work throughout Europe. Our highly qualified assembly team has an extensive fleet of semi-trailers with loading cranes, trucks with loading cranes and trailers, flatbed trucks, service vehicles and various special trailers for special transports.

Service and maintenance

The flawless functioning of doors and gates is essential in everyday life. Our service and maintenance staff ensure that everything works smoothly with regular maintenance and necessary repair work.

Of course, all work is documented in detail and can be traced at any time in the maintenance books.

Company foundation.
Eugen Hodapp founded the company in 1946 with a general store and the execution of small metalworking jobs.
1958
Start of door production.
High-quality custom-made products for every need.
1973
Handover of management to Werner Hodapp.
Werner Hodapp specialized even more in the production of doors and gates.
1976
Introduction of the “System Schröders” fire protection door program and start of production of fire protection doors.
Our own systems were developed and made ready for the market.

40 employees.

CNC sheet metal technology.
